All Rivers Run to the Sea

ABOUT ME

I am an engineer, neuromorph. I love table tennis, the sea, and science.

Since 12 yeas old, I spend a lot of time and have a lot of fun on playing table tennis, watching tournaments. I also like hiking, swimming.
I grew up in the Southwest inland of China, the first time that I saw the real sea was at my age 20 in Dalian. In front of the sea, I was so excited and started having appreciation for how little actually I am. I am a speck of dust, one tiny atom of nature . I always love to go to the beach for a breeze, and listen to the song of water —— "All rivers run to the sea".
In my opinion, all the progresses of human civilization are essentially actuated by the power of science (e.g. natuarl science, social science), which is an amazing invisible abstract intellectual system invented by human to understand, explore the universe and create new tools that do not exist before. As a member of this special species (human being) on the earth, I would love to contribute to carry forword this most precious heritage passed on to us by our great ancestry, like the great writers and scientists who guided me through darkness. Science is hard, and I am a PhD student now!

    WRITING

It is naive, but I take it as my debut short fiction (my only one fiction/novel till now). It was published as a serial short fiction on the WeChat webpage of School of Astronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology. During the graduation season in the university, students were encouraged to post articles to express whatever they want to say to classmates, teachers and the university, or the lessons they learned, etc.

"In this short fiction, I want to write about a certain kind of youth at present, their loneliness, their thinking and their concerns." It expresses some of the values that I developed (at age 23) after my college education and reading some great books. The name of this fiction is "An Encounter with My University".
    “关于此文,我想写的是当下的某一种青年,在某一阶段,他们的孤独,他们的思考,他们的关怀。” 它表达了我23岁时在接受了大学教育以及读了一些好书以后形成的一些价值观。
